Join Fem

Fem Newsmagazine celebrates women’s empowerment and the universal right to equality, equity, and social justice.

Fem will offer a wide range of feature, opinion, and news pieces that tackle gender inequalities in relation to health, sexuality, race, class, and popular culture. The purpose of Fem is to expose our readers to the facts, resources and personal testimonials that are otherwise silenced or ignored within mainstream media.

Fem is looking for vibrant individuals from all backgrounds, personalities, and perspectives who are passionate about exploring feminism through the arts - writing, photography, design, etc. All interests or talents related to publishing both in print and online are welcome! As a Fem staff member you will attain valuable business experience in finance, advertisement, and marketing. Similar development in writing and design will heighten your skill for creative journalism, web management, and art publishing. If you believe in the equality of all peoples and share in our passion for female empowerment then we have a place for you on our staff. We strive to enhance our publication through diverse perspectives, so if you feel that you have a unique outlook or experience, please come share it with us!

To give you a feel for the types of topics we address, our past editions have focused on everything from student activism to women in the media to sexual exploration and domestic violence. Even if you don’t consider yourself a "feminist" but care about women’s rights, come check us out. We hope to meet you soon!
